Small departure from the usual today. No model drops, no benchmark comparisons, no “here’s what changed overnight.” Just something we’ve been meaning to announce for a while: LiteRoute Academia now has a Boosty page, and it’s where a chunk of what we do is going to live from now on.
So, what is Boosty?
If you’ve never heard of it, Boosty is basically a platform built for creators to post content directly to the people who follow them, without depending entirely on algorithms deciding who gets to see what. It’s popular with creators who want a direct line to their audience instead of hoping a feed decides to show them up, and it’s become a fairly standard tool for smaller, independent outlets like ours to reach people beyond whoever happens to be scrolling past at the right moment. It works across a bunch of different content types too, not just written posts, which is part of why so many creators end up using it as a catch-all. Think of it as a home base. Not a replacement for the site, not a paywall dressed up as a “community,” just another door into the same room.
The reasoning
Honestly, the site isn’t going anywhere and isn’t losing anything. If we’re being straightforward about it, having our own site is still the better setup: nobody’s algorithm decides what you see, nothing’s locked behind a platform’s rules, it’s just us and the content. That’s not changing, and it’s not up for negotiation. What Boosty adds is different. It puts us in front of people who might never have found LiteRoute Academia otherwise, and it gives the people who already read us a way to support what we do, if they want to. That’s really the whole pitch: more reach, and an option to back us, without changing anything about how the site itself works.
On top of that, there’s the simple fact that now you get to pick where you read us, and where you put your support if you decide to. Maybe you already have the site bookmarked, and that’s not changing; it still works the same. Maybe Boosty ends up being more convenient for you, or it’s just the platform you’re already active on. Either way, nobody’s forced into one or the other, and nobody’s forced to pay for anything either. If you’d rather stick to the site and never open Boosty once, that’s completely fine too; nothing about your experience with us changes because of this.
What’s changing?
In practice, that means the same coverage you already get here. We’re not splitting content into “exclusive” versions or holding anything back for one platform over the other; that’s not the point of this. The articles, the teasers, all of it gets posted to Boosty too, just so there’s another place to catch it if the site isn’t where you usually find us.
We know some of you are going to ask if this means the blog is changing or slowing down. No. The site stays exactly what it’s always been: the place for the real articles, the teasers, the coverage. Boosty isn’t replacing that; it’s sitting next to it. Think of it less like moving house and more like adding a second room nobody’s used yet. Nothing about how we write, how often we post, or what we cover is shifting because of this.
We also want to be upfront that we’re still figuring out the rhythm of it. This isn’t a case of us having some grand content calendar mapped out for the next six months. It’s closer to us testing the waters, seeing what resonates, and adjusting from there. If something we post on Boosty doesn’t land, we’ll hear about it and change course. If something works, we’ll do more of it. We’d rather be honest about that now than pretend we’ve got some polished long-term plan we clearly haven’t had time to write.
Finding us there
For those wondering about access, everything is laid out on the page itself, so we won’t repeat it here and turn this into a pitch. What we will say is that if you’ve been reading LiteRoute Academia for a while and you’ve ever wanted a more direct line to what we’re thinking as we cover this space, or you just want to throw a bit of support our way, this is that line. No pressure either way; we just wanted a place for that option to exist, since it didn’t before now.
That’s really the update, just us finally getting around to setting something up that’s been sitting on the to-do list for longer than we’d like to admit. If you check it out, we’d genuinely like to know what you think. And if you don’t, no worries; the regular coverage on this blog isn’t going anywhere, today or any other day.
